Coronavirus COVID-19


Dear valued NRCS FCU Member:

Due to the ongoing concerns about the Coronavirus COVID-19, NRCS FCU is closely monitoring the latest reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and has taken a number of precautionary measures for the health and safety of our members and colleagues. 

We want to share a number of ways we are here to serve you, our member, during this time:

We encourage you to access your accounts from home anytime (24/7) using NRCS FCU’s Online Banking platform.  With Online Banking, you have access to check balances, make payments, and transfer funds, and use Bill Pay.  We have also recently made many enhancements to our digital presence to make it easier for you to manage your accounts from home, access online applications, and enhanced our web-communication platform for members to stay in touch with us remotely.  By visiting our website, you have access to find the nearest ATM (with our partnership with CO-OP Financial, our members are granted access to over 30,000 surcharge free ATMs), make online payments without online banking access, apply for loans, membership and fund your accounts thru our secure online portal.  You can also access our audio-teller at (888) 921-9302 for quick access to your accounts from anywhere, at any time.  If you need help accessing, or setting up access, to Online Banking, Bill Pay or audio-teller, please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you. 

Although we encourage you to utilize our online platforms, NRCS FCU’s physical branch is open; however, our lobby access is being limited at this time to coincide with the recommendations made by the CDC for social distancing.

Cash/Check Deposits: Utilize one of our provided envelope and include name, account number, type of account (Checking, Savings, etc.), phone number and email address. The deposit can be dropped in our night-drop to be processed. A receipt will be emailed to you.

 

Cash/Check Withdrawal: Contact our office at 817-921-9302 and let us know your request.  We will get your cash or check withdrawal prepared, with a copy of your receipt.  The cash/check and receipt will be handled to you at our front door. 

 

Transferring between Accounts, Account Balances, and Bill Pay:  We encourage our members to utilize our online platform thru online banking and Bill Pay.  If you do not have access to online banking or Bill Pay, contact us at 817-921-9302.  We are also available, during normal business hours, to answer any questions via phone or email.  Please send email inquiries to nrcscu@nrcscreditunion.org or visit our website at https://www.nrcscreditunion.org/.

 

Loan or Membership Applications:  We encourage our members to utilize our online loan and membership applications.  You can visit our website at https://www.nrcscreditunion.org/and apply for both loans and membership by clicking Apply for a Loan or Become a Member.  If you would prefer a hardcopy, please utilize one of the hardcopy loan and membership applications provided on the table, you can submit those applications, a copy of your photo ID for membership applications, in the night drop to be processed. 

 

In addition to our social distancing practices with limiting our lobby access, NRCS FCU’s employees have been instructed to follow the recommendations by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines to aid in the prevention of risk of spread. This includes, but is not limited to:

·  Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then dispose properly;

·  Understand the symptoms of the flu, stay home when sick;

·  Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands;

·  Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;

·  Utilize an alcohol based hand sanitizer (60-95% alcohol) when immediate washing hands is not accessible; and

·  Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces with bleach-based cleaner

Again, NRCS FCU’s physical branch is still open to all transactions; however, onsite lobby access will be limited.  Should NRCS FCU close our onsite facility due to risk for employees or members, our business contingency plan will be activated to ensure little to no disruption to our normal day-to-day activities for our members.  Members will be encouraged to utilize our online platforms and members will continue to be served, by our team, thru our remote access platform.  However, members needing to withdrawal cash may be hindered by our onsite facility closure.  If this should occur, we would encourage our members with debit card access to utilize one of our 30,000 surcharge free ATMs.  If you do not have a debit card and would like to add one to your account, please contact our office and we will ensure you receive a debit card to access accounts.  For members without debit cards or who would need access to larger sums of cash than allowable by ATM limits, NRCS FCU will waive any fees associated with ACHs or Wires to a financial institution of our choice as a result of our closure.  


Pandemic Impact Assistance

In the event you, as a member, is furloughed or there is a government agency shutdown/closure due to the coronavirus COVID-19, NRCS FCU will activate our Government Furlough/Shutdown Assistance Program that will be available to any member affected by the furlough or shutdown/closure.  For any government employee who is not currently a member; however, is eligible for membership, becoming a member online is easy and secure.  Become a Member Here! By becoming a member now, you will be eligible for our Government Furlough/Shutdown Assistance Program, should you need it.

Assistance Includes:

  • Payroll Replacement Assistance – Receive up to one (1) month gross salary replacement.  Interest may be as low as 1%*, based on credit worthiness. No payments during the pandemic impact income loss.

  • Credit Cards - Members WITHOUT a current credit card with NRCS FCU will be eligible to apply for 0% interest rate credit cards for the first three (3) months, up to $1,000.  No payments will be required for 60 days. Rate will revert back to qualified rate after first three months.

  • Credit Cards - Members WITH a current credit card will be eligible for a 6% reduction to their current interest rate for up to the first three (3) months.  No payments will be required for the next 60 days. Rate will revert back to qualified rate after first three months.

  • Overdraft Forgiveness – Affected members will be eligible for overdraft refunds up to $100.00 beginning the first day of the income loss and expiring 30 days after the income loss ends.

  • Skip-A-Payment – Members with current loans will be eligible to skip their payments for up to one (1) month, on all loans, and Skip-A-Pay fees ($25/loan) will be waived.

 *Interest rates on payroll replacement will be reverted to the signature loan qualified rates after 15 days of any back-payment or reinstatement is completed.  Loan term will be maxed at 12 months.
